Thomas Pettifer & Co Sign apparel with only minimal losses aroundA very large, hand painted wooden shop front sign, within a later surround, for an agent of Thomas Pettifer & Co Ltd. The local agent in Coads Green, near Launceston, Cornwall was W. H. Hooper. This sign was salvaged and, fortunately, has been mounted in a later frame to protect it (see reverse photos). The sign likely dates from the 1940s, as the phone numbers in the area would have been changed some time in the 1950s or early 1960s. Farrier, Thomas
