Cask No. 35.359 26 – 30 years It had oily black olivesWe first noted peach fuzz, American cream soda and gorse flower in this extremely attractive example of a Speyside classic. Green and juicy, we also detected wee hints of nutmeg, cut green apple and chlorophyll. With water the nose became waxier and spicier, with notes of pollen, white pepper and herbal toothpaste. The palate was initially rich, with inklings of linens, sunflower oil, sweet coconut biscuits, macaroon and a wee sprig of lemon thyme.
