Sun Rival Year:1 YR very juicyA delightful semi weeping crab apple. Umbrella shaped tree with arching branches. A profusion of pink blossoms opening into white, fragrant flowers, followed by stunning bright red fruits in the autumn. Awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit. It came about as a chance seedling at the Long Ashton Research Station, introduced around 1975. Great disease resistance, clay tolerant, flowers in April. Wonderful wildlife feeder through the autumn and winter.
