Aged 24, Sarah Cooper began production of Oxford marmalade at 83 84 High Street where a blue plaque stands today commemorating the conception of this marmalade! From 1874 1903 Cooper's recipe was made in the family kitchen on High Street until the company moved to a purpose built factory, before being sold to Twinings in 1919. A pot of this very marmalade was taken on Captain Robert Scott's
