Both decks want to radically alter their own life totals to make big spells much cheaper to cast, which includes game-ending, high-cost creatures and X spells that scale well in the late game
Collision provides a clean answer to these permanents while also being a hybrid card, which means that green can use it instead of Plummet as well
A Flash counter and or blocker, there's some very fun way to use this, especially during things where your opponent may assume they're safe to be greedy, such as on a turn-ending before untapping fully, and I agree with Loxi: players like to tap out a lot carelessly
