It is almost as dark sounding as Western Red Cedar, but has a clearer presence has a little snap to the sound. A great choose when you want to add some brightness to a dark sounding back and sides like Walnut. We recover our Redwood from salvage of old growth making this soundboard a very eco friendly and sustainable guitar wood. There are two book matched piece 0. 18 x 5 1 2 x 16".
