Fishing Boats on the Shore Alcantara Suede These new designs were shown'Fishing Boats on the Shore', an oil on board study of Dutch fishing boats off the shore of Scheveningen beach. Signed G. W. Opdenhoff to lower left. Set in a later gilt frame. George Willem Opdenhoff was born in 1807 in Fulda Netherlands. He was a well known and very skilled painter of seascapes, having been a pupil of Andreas Schelfhout and JC Schotel.
