Benny Lau過去十幾年一直從事多媒體影像創作，於2017年開始以手機作為拍攝相片及影片作品的主要工具，同年創立「手機攝影同學會」手機拍攝教學平台，將攝影藝術概念及技術應用於手機拍攝上，透過舉辦各種工作坊推廣手機攝影和拍片文化。2017年至2021年期間，Benny以手機攝影作品參加多個國際攝影比賽，並獲得超過100個獎項，這本攝影集收錄當中47幅彩色及30幅黑白精選獲獎作品。拍攝內容取材自攝影師日常生活與旅行體驗，涵蓋風景、人像、建築、動物及靜物等多種主題類型，並且綜合應用手機獨有的各種拍攝模式，像是進行了一場當代數碼攝影實驗，探究手機攝影於記錄與創作層面的可能性。
