Lot 008 - Antique Handmade Folk Art Dovetailed Wood Box With Sliding Lid And Compass Star Inlay Design, 5-1/4" H 2427 Pre-Auction Notes: This lamp wasSmall wooden storage box with sliding lid, likely 19th century, featuring hand cut dovetail joints and incised compass star designs on the sides, accented with circular inlay or plugs. The box shows a warm aged patina with wear, scratches, and staining from long use. Lid slides fully out; interior unfinished. Evidence of shrinkage, small cracks, and edge losses consistent with age. A fine example of early handmade folk woodworking.
