The piece was originally an antique buckle (circa 1890-1910) and bears the jugin mark indicating that it is at least 95% silver (a slightly higher silver content than sterling)

The flower was originally part of a silver topped 14k yellow gold brooch (circa 1840-1860) that our jeweler transformed by welding on a split 14k yellow gold ring band
