Early Silk and Metal Thread Embroidered Chalice Cover: C17th Europe kimono of the Asian Department atThe colour combinations on this early silk and metal thread embroidered chalice cover are sublime, a soft mauve grape with yellows and greens. Made in the late 17th century this is a rare survivor. Embroidered in floss silks and metal threads it features a symmetrical floral design with large motifs in the corners and a central decorative element, accented with metallic thread. A stunning piece which would benefit greatly by being stretched and
