Gate valves operate by lifting a gate or wedge internally in the path of the fluid. When fully open, the gate is lifted completely out of the flow path, resulting in minimal flow restriction and low pressure loss. Full bore construction further helps maximise flow capacity. There are two main types of gate valves available general
