Description

lived experience sailing the Isles of Shoals

This is a plein air "original" painting which was inspired while exploring Newfoundland

The composition is anchored by a sweeping foreground of water that draws the eye toward the distant treeline

This hearty "White Pine" is located on the Track and Tower trail in Algonquin Park which  overlooks Cache Lake

To capture the felt sense of changing energy

- Adirondacks art gallery lived experience sailing the IslesThis is a "Plein Air" (Outdoor) painting I did while visiting the Adirondack Mountain Range Region. The distant mountain is Whiteface in Lake Placid, NY. The takeaway for me while painting this scene was that these mountains where formed more then 1,000 million years ago, many years before even the dinosaurs were roamed the planet. In fact the area where I was standing was completely underwater. How crazy is that! I hope you enjoy this painting.
