Ballplayers will do a specific routine prior to every at bat, first pitch, or after a base hit, homerun, etc. Typically, the routine pertains to their faith. To sum up the many taps, crosses, prayers, etc, "The 1up" points to the sky to give thanks to the one above. while popping the chain and one upping the pitcher. For the design I wanted to combine the old school cartoon style
