Toss in a powerful equipment tutor, and you get a cheap yet powerful Voltron commander that exploits some of Magics strongest equipment like Sword of Forge and Frontier and Umezawa's Jitte
That record belongs to 1997 (and not 2006, the Guildpact / Dissension / Coldsnap / Time Spiral year with 922 cards) with a total of 1,133 cards
Zeus (OP11-106) dependency
One of these will be shockingly good in Standard, to my chagrin, but Ive got serious doubts about some seemingly popular cards like: Dragonhawk, Fate's Tempest Eluge, the Shoreless Sea Glarb, Calamity's Augur Helga, Skittish Seer Hugs, Grisly Guardian Mabel, Heir to Cragflame Muerra, Trash Tactician Vren, the Relentless Wick, the Whorled Mind So yeah, most of the story arc cast is underwhelming
Strictly worse than all the other cards in your sealed pool unless you have five or six of these and then theyre still bad
