- Japanese Bath - Hasui Kawase 'Kanagawa oki namiura' (The GreatThe lovely aquatint etching print 'Japanese Bath' is by Sarah Brayer (b. 1957). This print depicts a woman washing her long black hair in the bath. In Japan, there is a custom of leaving the bath, sitting on a small stool, and washing the hair and body. While there has been a shift towards Western styles in recent years, this custom still persists. This beautiful print captures the Japanese custom amid the steam amazingly. It is an exceptionally large
