While everyone was fixated on Red cards and Izzet synergies, Cecil was quietly doing work in black that had their blueprints already set even before 2024s Standard rotation

The goal of this deck is win or lose the coin flip, it doesnt matter cause you are just going to cast more spells

Plaguecrafter is the best since it hits planeswalkers and has no fail case, but Accursed Marauder deserves a nod for being the cheapest variant and having the nontoken clause that combats a weakness of the edict effect

It also allows you to activate fire breathing to pump this a bit more, and Doubling Season does well here too

Note that since the permanents become the target, this wont trigger any sort of ETB effects.
