Hes wearing a fancy white cravat under a dark coat according to the fashion of the 1820s. Hes clearly a man of means. The portrait is housed within an appropriate frame from the late 19th century. Medium Oil on canvas Size including frame 13 x 15 33cm x 38cm Year of creation c. 1820 Provenance Sweden Condition Craquelure throughout but the paint layer is stable.
