The pictures dont do a great job of explaining how the dress works

The dress features signature bow and volant details, bringing a touch of Viktor&Rolfs iconic design to a classic item

The open back is commonly seen on wedding dresses, and rightly so as it looks lovely

I couldn't find a pattern that came close, (although Republique du Chiffon released something similar when I was mid way through construction in May), so I did a bit of cut and shut with an out-of-print top pattern and the skirt from a vintage pattern and pockets from somewhere else
